Silver Lake Forest Education Society is a registered charity, and donations are tax deductible!

Silver Lake Forest Education Centre is open year round for private group retreats. Each booking offers exclusive use of the facility including full catering and accommodation for up to 100 in 6 cabins. There are additional mattresses in our Lodge and there is plenty of tenting space with limited RV space.

Silver Lake is an inspiring place to learn about the wonders of our Forests. Groups of all ages come to Silver Lake to live and explore the surrounding wilderness. This tranquil and remote lake setting offers groups a unique outdoor adventure experience with all the amenities and comforts.

We are available to help you plan and coordinate your program on-site, and our qualified instructors are available to complement your team for activity leadership and forest education programs.  We offer many ideas on fun, educational activities for your group to use before their trip, while at the Silver Lake Forest Education Centre and for follow-up after the trip.


WEEKDAY RENTALS


Two typical 3 day school rentals;

Monday Arrival time: 10:00am (Participants bring bag lunch)

Meals provided from Monday Dinner including Weds. Lunch

Weds Departure time: 2pm


Wednesday Arrival: 10:00am (Participants bring bag Lunch)

Meals provided from Wednesday Dinner including lunch Fri.

Fri Departure time: 2pm


5 or 4 Day rental

Departure/arrival and meals variable.

WEEKEND RENTALS

Friday- Sunday and Statutory Holidays**
Arrival time: 4:30 pm, for dinner
Departure time: 2:00 pm, after lunch (10:30 depending on summer camp sessions)


RENTAL INCLUSIONS

  • Rates include 3 meals per night rental and an evening mug up. Snacks are available through the day.
  • Accommodations include the cabins and recreation hall rooms
  • One host for up to 4 hrs/ day
  • Activities including canoeing, paddle-boarding, archery, swimming
  • High Ropes*** and the Low Ropes Challenge Course is available. 


OPTIONAL ADDITIONS

  • Meal prices based on the group menu, modifications are subject to additional charges
  • Special dietary requirements may be subject to an additional charge of $3.00 per person, per day
  • Additional Instructors



*additional meals may be added if it does not conflict with other groups
